Amid the chaos of 

A world seeking attention 

There are quiet 

Sacred moments 

All around.

We go about our lives 

In bubbles of our plans

Without regard to others 

Who may be hurting.

We pass by hospitals 

Nursing homes

Homebound and 

The unhoused.

Focused on whatever 

Is next in my day. 

I have done this 

Too many times to count.

To slow and notice 

To touch and heal 

Bringing Heaven to earth 

Being present to

The least of these.

This provides comfort
