Tour Day 706. Refuge

Amid the chaos of 

A world seeking attention 

There are quiet 

Sacred moments 

All around.

Mostly,

We go about our lives 

In bubbles of our plans

Without regard to others 

Who may be hurting.  

**

We pass by hospitals 

Nursing homes

Homebound and 

The unhoused. 

**

Focused on whatever 

Is next in my day. 

I have done this 

Too many times to count.  

**

Our Invitation:

To slow and notice 

To touch and heal 

Bringing Heaven to earth 

Being present to

The least of these.  

**

Sacred moments 

Not to be missed. 

Serving like You

This provides comfort

In times of trouble. 

The ultimate

Refuge.
