Bright sunny days can turn

Stormy before you are prepared. 

Mountaintop paths can lead to 

Darkest valleys just around the bend.

In this season of unknowing

We trust not in shifting sands. 

Constantly whipsawed by chaos

For no understandable purpose.

For there is only One Shelter

Protecting us from fright 

From the worst men can deploy. 

From nature’s unforeseen fury.

For You are a mighty Fortress

Our Friend when we are lost. 

Fear not, little one, for I AM is

Near, You alone are our forever

Refuge.
