A day they will never forget
When all their plans
Came crashing down
Darkness replacing light.
❤️
Two thousand years later
We can dismiss their grief
Overwhelming sorrow and loss
On a quiet Sabbath day.
❤️
We know what Sunday brings
His Story passed to us today.
Yet, in the midst of unknowing
They could not even imagine joy.
❤️
And so it is, with us who grieve
Please do not give us platitudes.
Well intended words can harm
For each loss is unique.
❤️
Do I believe? Yes I do.
But in this season of loss
Allow God to do His Work
As He did then, in
Silence.
