The dark waters will not part

As long as I seek to know, control

Daily reflections, pairing one of my poems with a photo.
Reflections are where these moments are gathered — words shaped into poems, meditations, and stories that trace the ongoing path of My Reunion Tour.
These writings are not essays or articles. They are invitations. They are windows into my own journey of noticing God’s presence in the midst of daily life. Some came as poems scribbled on “Tour Days,” others as prose prayers or honest confessions. All are meant to point beyond me, toward the One who walks with us.
Reflections are not polished speeches. They are living testimony. They remind us that God meets us not just on mountaintops, but in valleys, in detours, even in the quiet of an ordinary day. As the psalmist sang: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).
You are invited to linger here, to read slowly, to listen for echoes of your own story in these words. And perhaps, to be stirred to write your own reflections with God.

Starting over
Beginning Again
Unfolds the best for me
With new joy I can’t contain.

Looking...
The path back home
When we were once so far away
Fills us with thoughts, terrifying
Begins with...
When I look back on life’s stories
There is so many to recall
Peaks and valleys all belong
Books...
So many fragments
Too many life stories
Swirling about my head
All unfiltered, causing worries.
As followers of the One, they waited
He turned their ideas upside down
For many who sought power...
We can spend a lifetime
Running away from our ills
Yet, they are still with us
No matter how...
What the world needs now
Is in such short supply
Today, we’d rather be right
And let harsh words...
Look around your house
Notice the items in view
Especially those given freely
Today most...
How we as Followers
Model our days
Speaks more loudly than
Words we display.

Are we frazzled,...
How I answer one simple question
Colors this day and my tomorrows
Unless I pause and reflect...
Happy birthday, Daddy
Up in Heaven high above
This year, we feel far apart
Yet surrounded by...
