Tour Day 718. Silence

We live in an era with 

A constant stream of

Distractions. 

Never ending and 

Relentless.  

**

In some ways helpful. 

That is if our goal is 

Living this precious day 

Without purpose or 

Examination. 

**

Being honest...

I am afraid of my emotions. 

At times so powerful

So overwhelming. 

I would rather be numb

Rather than be present.  

**

Yet, there is a Rhythm

One day per week

That invites us to slow

Enough to just Be.  

And appreciate what is True. 

**

Despite our list of tasks

In spite of our fears

This is a true Gift, this day. 

A day, if we choose can

Be spent, slowly savoring 

Silence.
